Two thermoelectric generator (TEG) devices are provided with adhesive to attach them to the skin. One TEG is applied over the wound and the other TEG is applied on healthy skin. The device on the patient's skin will be used as reference values so that outside sources of temperature (like the sun) won't affect the heat transfer abilities of both TEG's, thus eliminating a false infection reading.
