Phase 5 unfortunately came with many problems for the team. Due to the world situation with COVID-19, the team was unable to work on their device on campus any longer beginning March 13, 2020. Because of this, the group had to reconsider how to complete the remainder of their device.

Given the circumstances of not being able to complete their hardware in person, the group chose to focus on code simulations and the user interface of their mobile application. This mobile application is for the user to track the progress of their wound and to be constantly alerted in case of potential infection. The user is also able to contact their doctor through the application and the doctor can also track the progress of the wound. A video of this interface can be found in the "Our Device" section of the website.

Despite all of the unforeseen circumstances, the group was still able to collaborate on pieces of their final product moving into Phase 6. Though they could not assemble the physical hardware of the device, they could work on the software portion which was still relatively successful.
